Tamil Nadu Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education & Research, Chennai has further modified the Round 1 schedule for Tamil Nadu NEET UG MBBS & BDS Counselling 2026 in accordance with the revised UG State Schedule 2026 issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on August 19, 2026.
As per the latest notification dated August 20, 2026, candidates will now have additional time to complete registration, choice filling and choice locking. The revised schedule also changes the seat allotment, result publication and reporting timelines.

Registration and Choice Filling Extended
Candidates participating in Tamil Nadu NEET UG Round 1 counselling for MBBS and BDS courses can now register, fill their choices and lock their choices until 5:00 PM on August 24, 2026.
Candidates who have not yet completed these activities should ensure that they finish the process within the revised deadline.
Seat Allotment and Result
The processing of Round 1 seat allotment will be carried out on August 25 and August 26, 2026. The Round 1 allotment result will be published on August 27, 2026.
Candidates who are allotted seats will be able to download their allotment orders from August 27 until September 5, 2026, up to 12:00 Noon.
Last Date for Reporting
Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 must complete the required admission and reporting formalities at the allotted institution within the prescribed timeline.
