Such candidates must submit a fresh application, pay the applicable registration fee and security amount, and submit their choices/preferences as per the schedule.
Who Does Not Need to Register Afresh?
Candidates who are already registered and meet the applicable conditions do not have to register again.
This includes:
- Candidates already registered but not allotted any seat in Round 1 or Round 2.
- Candidates already registered and holding a Round 1 or Round 2 seat who remain eligible for participation in Round 3.
Candidates who already deposited the prescribed security amount during Round 2 and were not allotted a seat in Round 2 do not have to deposit the security amount again. However, they must submit their willingness for Round 3 through the University Payment Gateway within the prescribed time.
Candidates Eligible for 3rd Round Seat Allotment
BFUHS has divided eligible candidates into different groups for the 3rd round seat allotment.
- Group I: Registered candidates who did not receive any seat allotment in Round 1 or Round 2.
- Group II: Registered candidates whose Round 2 allotment was cancelled during document verification/reporting because of a change in category or another reason, and who remain eligible for further counselling after forfeiture of the prescribed security amount.
- Group III: Candidates who reported to the institute against their Round 2 allotted seat and submitted willingness to participate in Round 3 for upgradation.

Candidates can submit objections against the provisional merit list until October 5, 2026, up to 4:00 PM. The revised provisional merit list after considering objections will also be displayed on October 5.
After this, candidates will be required to fill and submit their online course, college, quota and category preferences from October 6 to October 7, 2026 through the counselling portal.
Punjab NEET UG 2026 Round 3 Seat Allotment
The processing of seat allotment will take place from October 8 to October 9, 2026. The provisional allotment/result will be displayed on October 10, 2026.
Candidates will have an opportunity to submit objections to the provisional allotment until October 11, 2026, up to 3:00 PM. Such objections, along with relevant supporting documents or records, must be submitted in person at the Admission Branch, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.
Objections submitted through email, post or any other mode will not be entertained. The revised provisional allotment/result will be displayed on October 11, 2026, after considering the objections and making the necessary changes.
Payment of Balance Fee and Reporting
Provisionally selected candidates must deposit the balance amount of fee, equivalent to six months’ fee after adjustment of the security deposit already paid, through the University Payment Gateway.
The payment and reporting window is 12 October to 14 October 2026. After depositing the prescribed balance fee, candidates must report to their respective allotted college within the stipulated period to complete admission and joining formalities.
NRI Quota Application
The last date for submission of the NRI Quota Admission Application Form is September 28, 2026 to October 1, 2026, up to 2:00 PM
BFUHS has stated that the application forms for issuance of the Eligibility Certificate and the NRI Admission Application Form are separate forms and will be available on the university website.
Minority Status Verification
Candidates applying under the Sikh Minority or Christian Minority Quota must report to the respective minority institution for verification of their minority status.
The verification deadline is October 3, 2026, up to 3:00 PM. Candidates whose minority status was already verified during Round 1 or Round 2 do not need to report again for re-verification.
Candidates who registered under the Minority Quota in earlier rounds but could not get their minority status verified may report to the respective minority institution for verification of their status for participation in the 3rd round.
Surrender or Resignation After Joining Round 3
An important condition has been specified for Round 3 candidates. Once a candidate joins the seat allotted in the 3rd Round, the candidate will not be permitted to surrender/resign from that seat or participate in any further counselling rounds.
Candidates are therefore advised to carefully consider their college, course, quota and category preferences before submitting their choices.
Leftover BDS Seats
BFUHS has also specified that if an adequate number of candidates are not available for the BDS course, candidates who are not eligible for 85% State Quota seats may be considered, subject to the applicable rules.
