The Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR), formerly known as the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC ID), serves as a digital repository for students’ academic credits, providing a complete record of their educational achievements. Although advantageous, the NTA has clarified that it is no longer mandatory for an APAAR ID to have NEET UG 2025 registration.

According to its recent notification, the NTA also confirmed that although APAAR ID has several advantages such as providing quicker attendance procedure and more secure identity checking, it will not be made mandatory for exam registration in the NEET UG 2025.
