West Bengal NEET PG Counselling 2025 is managed by the West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC).The counseling is for admission into MD, MS, DNB, and Diploma programs in government and private medical colleges in West Bengal. The counselling will include the State Quota seats, Private Management Quota, and NRI Quota seats in medical institutions affiliated to the West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS).

Admissions will be based on the inter se merit list of candidates qualifying the NEET PG 2025 examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) and WBUHS eligibility criteria. The merit list will be drawn up in different categories (Unreserved (UR), EWS, OBC (A and B), SC, Star and PwD) as well as Open Category and In-Service.
The date and time for the commencement of online registration for Round 1 of the West Bengal NEET PG Counselling 2025 is 11:00 AM on November 6, 2025 to 6:00 PM on November 9, 2025 (Server Time). Candidates qualified for NEET-PG 2025 who are interested in West Bengal State Quota, Private Management Quota, NRI Quota and DNB courses counselling can fill the registration, apply and pay the counselling fee through the website – https://wbmcc.nic.in/ by online mode.
Step 1: Visit Website
- Open WBMCC website and click on the menu “PG Medical.”
- Click on “Candidate Registration and Login.”
Step 2: New Candidate Registration
- Click on “New Candidate Registration” to begin one-time registration.
- An agreement page will display. Please read it carefully and click “Agree” to proceed.
Step 3: Fill in Personal Details
- Fill in your Roll Number, Application Number, Name, Mother’s Name and Date of Birth as it appears on your NEET-PG 2025 admit card.
- Fill in the security pin which is displayed on the screen and click on “submit.”
- Make sure all the entered data matches that of NEET-PG for validation purpose.
Step 4: Create Password
- Create password in accordance to the password policy displayed on the screen.
- Confirm your password and click on “Submit & Next.”
Step 5: OTP Verification and Final Submission
- You will receive an OTP to your registered mobile number and email ID provided in NTA NEET-PG records.
- Enter the OTP and then click “Verify & Final Submit.”
- Once NEET data validation is complete, click on the Application Form link to continue.
Step 6: Fill Application Form
- Pre-filled details from NEET-PG will appear automatically.

West Bengal NEET PG Counselling 2025 – Online Counselling Process
West Bengal NEET PG 2025 counseling will be carried out in online mode via the official website (https://wbmcc.nic.in). The entire process consists of 4 steps (Registration, Document Verification, Choice Filling and Seat Allotment). Details of all the steps are given below.
Step 1: Online Registration, Application & Payment Of Fees.
- Candidates who are eligible under State Quota, Private Management Quota, or NRI Quota and have passed NEET PG 2025 must register online through the official WBMCC portal with required the timeline will have details of the required documents.
- Candidates will have to provide certain information in this step like Roll No, Application No, Name, Mother’s Name and Date of Birth will be entered from NEET-PG database. The candidate has to provide true information as per NBEMS database at this time as this information cannot be edited anymore at this stage.
- After successful registration, complete the online application and pay the counselling fee of Rs. 3,000 (non-refundable) through net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI.
- Candidates can edit registration details using the “Registration Unlocking” option only before fee payment. Once payment is made, no edits are allowed.
- Candidates must ensure correct caste/category details.
- SC/ST/EWS/OBC candidates must have certificates issued by West Bengal authorities; otherwise, they will be treated as Unreserved.
- OBC candidates must select OBC-A or OBC-B and submit a valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued on or after 01.04.2025.
- After successful payment, candidates should download the Candidate Profile Letter, which contains reporting details for document verification.
Step 2: Physical Document Verification
- Candidates who have completed the payment process step will appear for verification in person at the scheduled date and time which will be provided to them in Candidate Profile Letter as well as where they need to verify their documents.
- Candidates will have to bring all original documents and also the Candidate needs to self-attest one set of photocopies of all the documents. Once the candidate is observing that all documents are verified, they will obtain Verified Certificate provided by the system.
Step 3: Choice Filling and Choice Locking
- Only candidates who are verified will be able to log into the portal for they to fill their choices of institution.
- Candidates will be able to view the available colleges/seats according to the categories (State quota, Management quota, or NRI Quota) they are eligible for.
- Candidates will arrange the preference using the options move up/down, delete, interchange, etc.
- Choices must be saved and locked with a password.
- If a candidate does not lock the choices manually, the choices will be auto-locked after time runs out. Only the locked choices will be considered for the seat allocation.
Step 4: Publication of Seat Allotment Result
- Seat allotment will be done on merit, category, PwD status, and quota eligibility.
- The results will be provisional and published online.
- An allotted candidate will have to report to the respected college/University in the given time for final verification of documents and payment of fees.
- A candidate not reporting or submitting documents within the time will lead to cancellation and disqualification from further rounds.
Important Notes
- Counselling fee: Rs. 3,000 (one-time, non-refundable).
- Payments once made are non-refundable; candidates must check transaction status before retrying.
- Those who fail to pay in Round 1 can register again in Round 2, Round 3, or Stray Vacancy Round, subject to seat availability.

West Bengal NEET PG Counselling 2025 – Bond and Discontinuation Policy
According to the orders of the Government of West Bengal, there are specific penalties and service bonds for candidates who have been admitted to a PG Medical and PG Diploma course after the admission through NEET PG Counselling 2025.
Discontinuation Penalty:
The penalties for discontinuation of the course before completing the tenure will be as follows-
- PG Medical Degree: Rs. 5,00,000 (Five lakh rupees)
- PG Diploma: Rs. 2,00,000 (Two lakh rupees)
Service Bond after Course Completion:
- Open category candidates must serve in government service for a specified period after completing the course. For PG Medical Degree 3 years of compulsory service and 2 years of compulsory service for PG Diploma.
- If a candidate fails to serve the bond period, they must pay a penalty amount fixed by the Government of West Bengal.
DNB Courses:
- There is no discontinuation bond/phobia applicable to DNB Courses as on date. Also, for DNB Post Diploma (2 year) Degree Seats, it is not included under the NEET PG counselling process.
- Bond Submission:
- Open Category Candidates: Should submit the notarized bond for discontinuation and indemnity on non-judicial stamp paper worth Rs. 100 or higher as well as if in some cases more demy paper is needed, at the time of admission to the concerned college.
- In Service Candidates: Need to submit the notarized discontinuation bond to the concerned college, and the post course service bond to the MERT Branch or the respective branch of actually Swasthya Bhavan as per the existing, TR rules.
