With over the 32 medical colleges and about 6 dental colleges participating in State Counselling makes medical educational landscape of the west bengal more constructive. The counselling conducting authority will be the responsible body for 85% of the admission to medical and dental whereas the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will handle rest of 15% seats. Bring your original documents, college fee, and bond.
Candidates who have qualified in NEET-UG or NEET-PG for the current year and meet domicile or NRI quota requirements are eligible to participate. Counselling is typically conducted in two rounds, followed by special stray rounds if seats remain vacant. Counselling Registrations - State Quota
Register Online:
- Visit the WBMCC website and access the online registration portal (Click Here).
- Enter your NEET UG 2025 details and other required information accurately.
- Pay the registration fee online using the specified method.

Counselling Process - State Quota
Admissions are conducted through multiple rounds: First Round, Second Round, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round. All rounds of counselling will be conducted online. Candidates not domiciled in West Bengal (and not opting for NRI Quota) are eligible for Management Quota seats in Private Medical/Dental Colleges in West Bengal.
Seat Surrender
- First Round: Free exit. Candidates can surrender their seat without penalty.
- Second Round: Seat surrender is allowed with forfeiture of admission fees. Candidates must apply in person at the admitted college and obtain a server-generated seat surrender letter.
- From Round 3 Onwards: Seat surrender is not allowed.
First Round
- Seat Allotment: Conducted online. Candidates must lock their choices, which will be processed based on inter-se merit.
- Admission: Candidates allotted a seat must report to the concerned college with original documents and fees for verification and admission.
- Willingness: Candidates must express willingness to participate in subsequent rounds to remain eligible for further counselling.
Second Round
- Fresh Registration: Allowed. Candidates from Round 1 can also upgrade their seat if available.
- Security Money: Required for participating in this round. Government Colleges: Rs. 10,000 (UR/OBC), ₹5,000 (SC/ST/EWS) & Private Colleges: Rs. 1,00,000 (all categories)
- Eligibility: Candidates who did not get a seat in Round 1 or did not report for admission can participate without additional penalties.
- Participation: Candidates who joined in Round 1 and have provided willingness can participate. Surrendered candidates from earlier rounds are out of the counselling process.
Third Round
- Fresh Registration: Allowed for candidates who did not register in earlier rounds.
- Eligibility: Verified candidates from earlier rounds who did not get a seat can participate. No need to pay counselling fee again if already paid.
- Document Verification: Candidates who failed earlier must pay the fee again for verification.
- Participation: Candidates who remain not reported after Round 2 can participate by paying the fee again.
Online Stray Vacancy Round
- Fresh Registration: Allowed during this round.
- Eligibility: Registered but non-allotted candidates till Round 3 can participate without additional fee payment.
- Participation: Candidates admitted in this round cannot surrender their seats and are out of the counselling process.
Physical Stray Vacancy Round
- Registration/Fee Payment: No fresh registration or fee payment allowed.
- Eligibility: Only candidates already verified and non-allotted till the online stray round are eligible.
- Admission: Candidates must physically report with original documents and fees to the college with vacant seats.

MCC NEET UG Counselling Registration Process - All India Quota

Step 5: Register on the MCC Website | Qualified and eligible candidates must register on the MCC website (www.mcc.nic.in) to participate in the counselling process for seat allotment. |
Step 6: Sandes App for OTP | Download the Sandes app to receive OTP on the registered phone number for registration. |
Step 7: Upload Essential Certificates | After the declaration of NEET UG results, candidates must mandatorily upload essential certificates as per the requirements specified by the MCC. |
Step 8: Physical Reporting | Carry original documents during physical reporting to the allotted college to confirm seat allotment and complete admission procedures. |
MCC NEET UG Counselling Process - All India Quota
MCC NEET UG Counselling Process includes four rounds, each with its own set of rules and procedures. The counselling process begins with Round 1 & concludes with a Final Stray Vacancy Round, where remaining vacant seats are filled through fresh registrations, ensuring all available positions are occupied. Candidates must upload essential certificates after each round’s result declaration to facilitate the verification process. Below is the step-by-step process for each round,
Round 1:
- a) Main Counselling Registration: Candidates register and pay a non-refundable registration fee along with a refundable security deposit.
- b) Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates choose their preferred colleges and courses and lock their choices.

- Conducted for AIQ, Deemed University seats, and as per Supreme Court directions.
- Candidates allotted seats must join; failure to do so results in debarment from NEET for one year.
