Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has announced the 3rd Round Online Counselling schedule for admission to 1st Year MBBS/BDS courses in the Government Medical and Dental Colleges of Assam for the 2026 session. The counselling will be conducted for vacant seats under the State Quota.
Candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2026 and meet the eligibility requirements can participate in the counselling process. Candidates who already registered and participated in Round 1 or Round 2 do not need to register again and can directly participate in Round 3 choice filling for fresh allotment or change of college.

The official notice states that choice filling will be available from 2 October to 5 October 2026, while the seat allotment process will be conducted from 6 October to 8 October 2026. The Round 3 result will be declared on 9 October 2026.
Candidates selected in Round 3 will have to complete reporting and joining at their allotted institutions from 13 October to 14 October 2026.
The notice also specifies that candidates who have joined or are holding seats after Round 3 of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will not be eligible to participate in this counselling and will be removed from the process.
