For example, at Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur, the Government Quota UR category for candidates under the general subcategory recorded an opening State Rank of 4 with a NEET score of 625, while the closing State Rank was 64 with a score of 583. Category-Wise and College-Wise Data Available
The Round 1 OR-CR document provides separate data for categories including UR, OBC, EWS, SC and ST, along with applicable subcategories such as PwD, Ex-Servicemen and other specified categories.
This allows candidates to identify the opening and closing ranks relevant to their own category rather than relying on a single overall cutoff.
The document also covers BDS admissions. For instance, the OR-CR data for Maitri College of Dentistry and Research Center, Durg includes both Government Quota and Management Quota BDS seats with category-wise opening and closing ranks and NEET scores.
How Candidates Can Use the OR-CR Data
Candidates can use the Round 1 OR-CR to:
- Check the opening and closing rank for their preferred college.
- Compare their NEET UG 2026 rank and score with the Round 1 closing figures.
- Understand category-wise competition for MBBS/BDS seats.
- Analyse the difference in cutoff across government and private institutions.
- Assess possible college options for subsequent counselling rounds.
It is important to note that the Round 1 closing rank is not a guaranteed cutoff for subsequent rounds, as ranks can change depending on seat availability, candidate choices, withdrawals, upgrades and the counselling rules applicable to each round.
