The merit list has been prepared for candidates participating in the Odisha NEET UG counselling process for MBBS and BDS admissions. The document runs across 106 pages and contains candidate details along with their NEET UG 2026 All India Rank and Odisha state ranks.

Candidates Can Fill Choices
OJEE has clarified that merely appearing in the state merit list does not guarantee allotment of an MBBS or BDS seat. Candidates included in the merit list can fill their choices, while seat allotment will depend on their rank, choices filled, seat availability and category.
The first page of the merit list shows candidates with Odisha state ranks beginning from 1, while the list progresses through different categories including GN, EB, EW, SC and ST, along with applicable reservation-related ranks.
Newly Registered Candidates Given Decimal Ranks
Candidates who registered during the third phase have been given state ranks containing decimal points. The merit list includes examples such as 26.01, 110.01, 113.01 and 162.01, indicating the ranking format used for newly registered candidates.
Document Verification During Admission
OJEE has stated that the merit list is purely provisional, despite being titled the Final State Merit List. The documents uploaded by candidates will be verified in original during the reporting and admission process.
If any discrepancy, tampering or forged document is found during verification, the allotment can be cancelled and the candidature may also be cancelled.
PwBD and NRI Candidates
OJEE has also clarified that, based on reports received from SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack, eligible PwBD candidates have been provided a PC rank, while ineligible PwBD candidates have been considered under the General Category.
For NRI candidates, if a seat is allotted during counselling, they will have to submit the required original documents as specified in the NRI notice of MCC during reporting and admission.
Merit List Extends to 6,217 State Rank
The final pages of the document show the merit list continuing up to Odisha State Rank 6,217, with candidates belonging to different categories. The last listed entry has an NEET UG 2026 AIR of 1,194,509 and Odisha State Rank 6,214.011, while another candidate is listed with State Rank 6,217 under Outside Odisha/GN.
Candidates are advised to carefully check their NEET AIR, Odisha State Rank, category and applicable reservation ranks before proceeding with the choice-filling and seat allotment process.
