Who Is Eligible to Exercise Web Options?

Eligible candidates include NEET UG 2026-qualified candidates whose names appear in the final merit list for the Competent Authority Quota. Candidates whose certificates were uploaded during online registration and provisionally verified, as specified in the notification, may exercise options subject to the stated conditions.

Candidates who were allotted BDS seats in previous counselling phases and joined their allotted colleges may also exercise web options if they meet the eligibility requirements. However, the notification excludes the following candidates:

  • Candidates allotted seats in previous counselling phases who did not report or discontinued the course after joining.
  • Candidates who did not exercise web options in the first phase of counselling.
  • Candidates whose names appear in the MBBS Competent Authority Quota allotment list after the MBBS Mop-Up Phase.
  • Candidates admitted through MCC counselling up to the third phase, as notified on the MCC website.

University Fee for BDS Allotment

Candidates allotted a BDS seat must pay a university fee of Rs.12,000 through the online payment gateway using a debit card, credit card or internet banking.

Candidates who have already paid the university fee during the first or second counselling phase and receive a seat through sliding in the Mop-Up Phase are not required to pay it again.

If a payment failure results in a successful duplicate transaction, candidates must submit a refund request to knruhs.doublepayments@gmail.com. Any refund will be processed after verification and according to the prescribed procedure.

Penalty for Non-Joining or Discontinuation

KNRUHS has highlighted strict conditions to prevent seat blocking during the Mop-Up Phase.

Candidates admitted to BDS who discontinue the course after the Mop-Up Phase to retrieve their original certificates will face a penalty of Rs.20 lakh under the applicable government orders and will be debarred from BDS admission under KNRUHS for three years.

A candidate allotted a BDS seat according to the web options submitted but who does not join will also be subject to the penalty and debarment provisions stated in the notification.

Candidates should therefore exercise web options carefully. If they are not willing to join a particular college, they should not select it.

Important Rules for Candidates

  • There is no limit on the number of college choices. Candidates may select any number of colleges for which they are eligible.
  • Candidates should save and print their submitted web options.
  • A one-time password will be sent to the registered mobile number when exercising web options.
  • Selected candidates must download the allotment order after paying the applicable university fee.
  • Candidates must report to the allotted dental college by the deadline specified in their allotment order and submit the required original certificates, bonds and fees.
  • If admission formalities are not completed within the specified period, the allotment may be cancelled and the applicable penalty provisions may apply.
  • Candidates who slide to another college during the Mop-Up Phase must complete the required formalities at the newly allotted college. The notification states that candidates admitted through this phase will not be permitted to discontinue after allotment.
  • The university fee, once paid, is non-refundable under the notification.

No Free Exit After October 14, 2026

It also specifies that there is no free exit for candidates admitted after that date.
