Directorate of Medical Education, West Bengal has released the revised tentative schedule for Round 1 of West Bengal NEET UG Counselling 2026 for admission under the State Quota, Private Management Quota and NRI Quota seats.
The counselling schedule includes online registration, fee payment, document verification, publication of the verified candidate list and seat matrix, choice filling and locking, seat allotment and reporting for admission.

Registration and Fee Payment
Candidates qualified through NEET UG 2026 can participate in the Round 1 counselling process by completing online registration and fee payment within the specified windows.
The registration facility will initially remain open from August 13 to August 16, 2026, followed by another registration window from August 20 to August 23, 2026. All timings are applicable as per the server time.
Candidates must ensure that the registration and fee payment are completed within the respective deadlines to remain eligible for the subsequent counselling process.
Document Verification
After successful registration and fee payment, candidates will be required to undergo document verification at their designated college and within the date and time slot allotted through the counselling software.
The verification schedule will be conducted on the dates specified by the counselling authority. The notification states that the document verification requirement is not applicable to NRI candidates, as per the relevant notice.
Merit List and Choice Filling
The list of successfully verified candidates along with the seat matrix for Round 1 will be published on August 25, 2026, after 12:00 Noon.
Following this, verified candidates can complete their online choice filling and choice locking from 4:00 PM on August 25 until 4:00 PM on August 27, 2026.
Candidates should carefully fill and lock their preferred choices within the given time period.
Round 1 Seat Allotment and Admission
The Round 1 seat allotment result is scheduled to be published on August 31, 2026, after 4:00 PM.
Candidates allotted seats will have to report to their respective allotted institutions and complete the admission formalities on the designated reporting dates. The reporting and admission process will be conducted between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM on the specified dates in September.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official West Bengal NEET UG counselling portal for updates and follow the schedule carefully, as the dates and timings are subject to the instructions of the counselling authority.
