Atal Medical & Research University (AMRU), Himachal Pradesh has released the Final Merit List for Round 1 counselling for MBBS/BDS admissions based on NEET UG 2026.
According to the latest notice dated August 21, 2026, the final merit list is now available for candidates participating in the first round of counselling.
AIQ Candidates Can Fill Management Quota Choices
A key update in the notice is that All India Quota (AIQ) candidates will also be allowed to fill choices for Management Quota seats in private colleges.
Candidates eligible to participate should carefully check the available choices and complete the choice-filling process as per the counselling schedule.
Important Instructions for Reserved Category Candidates
Candidates claiming the benefit of any reserved category or quota have been advised to ensure that all certificates and documents submitted by them are:
- Valid and up to date
- In the prescribed format mentioned in the prospectus
- Properly submitted before the admission process begins
The university has clarified that if a candidate submits an outdated or invalid certificate, fails to submit the required document, or submits documents in a format not prescribed in the prospectus, they will not be entitled to claim the benefit of the respective category or quota.
Candidates are therefore advised to review their documents carefully and arrange for any required updates or corrections before the admission process.
Provisional Allotment Does Not Confirm Admission
AMRU has also clarified that provisional seat allotment does not confer any right of admission. The final eligibility and category/quota claim of a candidate will remain subject to verification and approval by the Admission Committee of the concerned institute.
Candidates should therefore ensure that all information and supporting documents submitted during counselling are accurate and valid.
Candidates Advised to Wait for Final Seat Allotment
Candidates have been advised to approach the allotted college or institute only after the declaration of the Final Seat Allotment and after downloading the Provisional Allotment Letter through their candidate login.
The university has further clarified that admission will not be considered without seat allocation from AMRU.
