Previously Registered Candidates Also Need to Fill Choices
Candidates who have already registered for the counselling and are eligible to participate in the third phase must select their preferred institutions during the specified choice-filling period.
The notice makes it clear that merely being registered does not guarantee consideration for seat allotment in the third phase. Previously registered eligible candidates must submit their institution choices within the prescribed timeline.
If a candidate does not select an institution, they will not be considered for seat allotment in the third phase.
Candidates Who Forfeited Their Fee Need to Pay Again
Candidates who were allotted a seat in a private medical college in the second round but did not complete the admission process and consequently had their previously deposited fee forfeited will have to deposit the required fee again to participate in the third phase counselling.
Therefore, such candidates should complete the required payment before proceeding with the counselling process.
Candidates Wanting to Choose Private Medical Colleges
The notice also contains instructions for candidates who had earlier selected only government medical colleges but now want to participate in the private medical college counselling process.
Candidates who had previously selected only government medical colleges and now wish to select private medical colleges will have to pay the difference in the applicable amount before they can make their private college choices.
After making the required additional payment, candidates will be able to select private medical colleges according to the applicable counselling rules.
Application Form Editing Facility
The third-phase online application provides candidates with the facility to make corrections or edits in the application form. The notice states that the edit facility will remain available until the last date of online application.
Candidates should carefully verify the information entered in their application before submitting the final form.
NEET Data Will Be Retrieved From NTA
The notice also points out that certain information in the application form will be obtained directly from the National Testing Agency (NTA) data.
Candidates should note that the mobile number and email address entered by them will remain unchanged/non-editable. Therefore, candidates should provide their correct contact details while completing the application process.
Important Instructions for Candidates
Candidates who participated in the earlier rounds should also take note of the rules regarding admission, resignation and forfeiture.
If a candidate was allotted a seat after the second round but did not take admission, or took admission and subsequently resigned, the applicable provisions regarding forfeiture of the security amount will apply as mentioned in the counselling rules and previous notifications.
The notice refers to Rule 7(xvi) of the Chhattisgarh admission rules and the earlier notification issued by the Commissionerate of Medical Education regarding such cases.
Choose Only Colleges Where You Want Admission
The counselling authority has advised candidates to exercise caution while filling their choices.
Candidates should select only those colleges/institutions in which they are actually willing to take admission.
Once the choices are submitted and the counselling process proceeds, candidates should be prepared to complete admission formalities if a seat is allotted according to their submitted preferences.
