
Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has officially announced their schedule for NEET UG Counseling 2025 Round 2. This is an important milestone for students who wish to obtain MBBS, BDS and other medical seats in colleges across India. Round 2 is especially important for two types of candidate, those who did not get a seat in Round 1 and for students who are waiting on better colleges or better courses during Round 1 because they received upgradation to offer them a place in Round 2.
As per official Notification, the Round 2 schedule registration and payment for counselling has started from 4th to 9th Sept 2025, followed by the choice filling and locking from 5th to 9th Sept 2025. Then, the seat allotment will take place from 10th to 11th Sept 2025and the result will be declared on 12th Sept 2025. Candidates who are allotted a seat will need to report to college between 13th to 19th Sept 2025. The institutes will verify the data of candidates who have joined the surgery from 20th to 21st September 2025.

MCC NEET UG Counselling 2025 – Round 2 Schedule
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be conducting Round 2 of the NEET UG Counselling 2025 for admissions to MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. Nursing seats under All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed/Central Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, and Private Institutes etc.
Round 2 is offered to candidates who did not register in round 1, candidates who did not get a seat allotted in round 1, and candidates that wish to upgrade an allotted seat. The schedule contains registration dates, choice filling date, date of allotment of seats and the reporting date at the allotted college. MCC NEET UG Counselling 2025 – Eligibility Criteria
Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has laid down specific eligibility criteria for candidates participating in NEET UG Counselling 2025. These criteria vary slightly for General Category candidates and Reserved Category (OBC/SC/ST/PwD) candidates.

MCC NEET UG Counselling Process
MCC NEET UG Counselling is done in four rounds – Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and the Final Stray Vacancy Round. Every round will go through step-by-step for registration, choice filling, seat allotment, reporting etc. After the declaration of result of every round, candidates will have to upload the required certificates for verification.
- Round 1: Fresh registration, payment of fee, choice filling, seat allotment, declaration of result, reporting to allocated college. Candidates can choose to be upgraded during round 2.
- Round 2: Fresh registration for new candidates, choice filling, allotment, reporting. Upgradation to round 3 is allowed.
- Round 3: Fresh registration for candidates who haven’t registered already, new choice filling, seat allotment, declaration of result, final reporting option to college. Once candidates join, it is not possible to resign or upgrade further.
- Final Stray Vacancy Round: This is conducted for the leftover vacant seats under AIQ and Deemed Universities. Candidates are required to register fresh. Candidates who are allotted are required to join; otherwise they would be barred from NEET for a year.
MCC NEET UG Counselling Fees 2025
Candidates taking part in the MCC NEET UG Counselling 2025 will have to pay two types of fees during the registration stage:
- Non-Refundable Registration Fee – This fee is compulsory, and differs based on the candidate’s category as well as the type of institution selected.
- Refundable Security Deposit – This fee will be refunded after the completion of counselling, as long as, either the candidate takes admission in the allotted college or the candidate exits from counselling as per their rules.

A. The choice filling window will be opened to all candidates from 22 August 2025 to 26 August 2025 (till 11:55 PM). The candidate will be required to lock their choices on 26 August 2025 between 4:00 PM to 11:55 PM.

A. The Round 2 seat allotment result will be announced on 29th August 2025 at the MCC official website.
Q. What is the reporting period for candidates allotted seats in Round 2?

Q. Do I need to register again for Round 2 if I already registered in Round 1?

A. If you will not report, your allotted seat and your refundable security deposit will be forfeited. Further depending on the rules of the MCC you may be debarred from further rounds.

A. If you already have a seat from Round 1, you can upgrade in Round 2, as long as you participate in fresh choice filling.
