NEET UG 2026 was originally scheduled for 3 May 2026, but a fresh Re-NEET exam was held on 21 June 2026 for affected candidates, and the National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the final NEET UG 2026 result on 16 July 2026. Types of Rajasthan NEET Counselling 2026
Rajasthan's counselling is a single centralised process, but it allocates seats across a few distinct channels:
- Government Seat Counselling: Seats in Government Medical/Dental Colleges, Government Society Medical Colleges (RajMES), RUHS CMS, and ESIC Medical College open to Rajasthan-domicile-eligible candidates under the state's reservation roster.
- Management Seat Counselling: Management-quota seats within Government Society Colleges/RUHS CMS as well as fully Private Medical and Dental Colleges.
- NRI Seat Counselling: A share of seats in Government Society Colleges and Private colleges reserved for NRI/OCI/PIO candidates and their sponsored wards.
- All India Quota (AIQ – 15%): A fixed 15% of seats in Government Medical/Dental Colleges, Government Society Colleges, RUHS CMS, ESIC MC, and RUHS CDS, counselled centrally by MCC/DGHS open to candidates from anywhere in India.
- Central Government Pool: 24 MBBS seats (4 each in the 6 traditional State Medical Colleges) filled by the Central Government Authority.

Rajasthan NEET Counselling Process Step by Step
- Check your NEET UG 2026/Re-NEET result and rank on neet.nta.nic.in.
- Complete both Part 1 and Part 2 of the online application on the Board's website, missing either part makes you ineligible for further counselling.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee based on your category.
- Wait for the seat matrix and Information Bulletin to be published, along with the minimum qualifying percentile confirmation.
- Fill your choices carefully, referring to the fee and category details shown for each college remember, Rajasthan requires fresh choices every single round.
- Pay the refundable security amount applicable to the type of seat you're targeting, before the choice-filling deadline.
- Check the seat allotment result for your round.
- Report in person at the Academic Block, SMS Medical College, Jaipur (the centralised reporting desk for every participating college) with original documents and deposit the tuition fee online.
- Decide whether to retain your seat or try for an upgrade in the next round and remember, you must fill fresh choices again if you want to be considered for upgradation.
- Repeat through Round 2 and Round 3, and if seats remain, participate in the Stray Vacancy Round (which requires prior document verification and a bond submission).
Rajasthan NEET Counselling Registration Process
- All eligible candidates must register through medicaleducation.rajasthan.gov.in, completing both Part 1 and Part 2 of the online application form.
- Part 1 captures your NEET UG 2026 roll number, score, and basic category details to generate your login credentials.
- Part 2 captures your personal, academic, contact, and parental details, along with document uploads (photograph, signature, category/domicile certificates, etc.).
- Note your login ID and password carefully and keep them confidential, you'll need them throughout the counselling.
- Complete the application fee payment online (credit card/debit card/net banking/UPI plus applicable transaction charges).
- Hand-written, typed, photocopied, or screen-printed application forms are not accepted, only the online submission counts.

The fee is neither refundable, transferable, nor adjustable against any future state admission, so double-check your eligibility and details before paying.
Rajasthan NEET Counselling Choice Filling
Rajasthan's choice-filling rule is genuinely different from most other states, so pay close attention:
- You must fill fresh choices in every single round whether or not you were allotted or joined a seat in the previous round. Your previous round's choices are completely scrapped and carry no weight in the next round.
- If you skip choice filling for a round, you are simply not considered for allotment/upgradation in that round, a Round 1 joined candidate who skips Round 2 choice filling keeps their Round 1 seat exactly as is; they are not automatically dropped.
- In Round 2 or Round 3, you can also fill choices for "virtual vacancies", seats that may open up if a candidate ahead of you upgrades elsewhere. But any virtual vacancy created after your merit position has already been processed does not become available to you.
- Choices, once submitted for a round, are final for that round's allotment, so fill them very carefully against the published seat matrix and each college's fee structure.
- If you don't submit choices by the notified deadline for a round, you lose your chance to participate in that round's allotment.
Rajasthan NEET Counselling 2026 Documents Required
Keep two printed copies of your online application plus the originals and photocopies of the following ready:

Rajasthan NEET Counselling Reservation Policy
Rajasthan's reservation matrix applies to the "State Seats" — i.e., after excluding the 15% AIQ and the 24-seat Central Government Pool. Here's the current breakdown:

Rajasthan NEET Counselling Seat Allotment Process
- Seat allotment is based strictly on the candidate's All India NEET UG 2026 merit, the order of choices filled, and seat availability as per the reservation roster except for the Defence/Para-military sub-clause, which follows priority-cum-merit rather than merit alone.
- Allotment is provisional until the candidate's original documents, eligibility, and medical fitness are verified at the allotted college.
- A candidate is deemed to have "joined" only once they report in person at the Academic Block, SMS Medical College, Jaipur — the single centralised reporting desk for every participating medical and dental college in the state, submit original documents, and deposit the requisite tuition fee.
- Round 1: Allotted candidates pay one year's tuition fee online (security amount gets adjusted into it) to a candidate-specific bank account mentioned in the allotment letter, then report with documents and the requisite bond.
- Round 2/Round 3 upgrades: If a joined Round 1 candidate is allotted a better seat in Round 2 (having filled fresh choices), their Round 1 seat is automatically vacated, and their documents/fee are transferred directly to the new college.
- Non-joining consequences: Security amount is forfeited if an allotted candidate (from Round 2 onward) doesn't join; a Round 1 allottee who doesn't join isn't penalised and can still try again in later rounds without forfeiture (with a two-day resignation window after Round 2 results, in specific cases).
- Stray Vacancy Round: Requires prior document verification and submission of original documents with a bond to the Board, only verified candidates can participate. Anyone allotted a seat here who doesn't join is debarred from state counselling for the next one year, in addition to forfeiting the security amount.
- No candidate can hold two seats simultaneously, anyone found to have joined another institution through any other counselling process becomes ineligible for Rajasthan's Round 2/3 or Stray Vacancy Round.
- Impersonation (mismatched biometrics/photograph/signature/documents) leads to police action and permanent debarment from future MBBS/BDS admissions in Rajasthan.

There are three separate components to budget for:
1. Application fee (one-time, non-refundable): Rs.2,500 for General/OBC/MBC/EWS candidates; Rs.1,500 for SC/ST/ST-STA candidates of Rajasthan domicile.

Depositing Rs.2,00,000 or Rs.5,00,000 automatically qualifies you to fill choices across Government, Government Society, RUHS CMS/CDS, ESIC MC, and Private Dental colleges as well.
3. Bond conditions (in addition to fees):
- Government seat (except Management/NRI): Bond to serve the State Government for 2 years post-completion; breach amounts to Rs.10 lakhs.
- Management seat (Govt. Society Colleges/RUHS CMS): Bond to pay all remaining semester fees if the course is left incomplete.
- NRI seat: Bond for the fees of the remaining course period, payable regularly; same liability if the course is left incomplete.
- RUHS College of Dental Sciences (Govt. Dental College): Bond of Rs.4 lakhs plus a Bank Guarantee of Rs.1 lakh, forfeited on premature withdrawal.
- Private colleges: Bond/Bank Guarantee terms are set individually by each private college, always check the specific college's website.
