MCC NEET UG Counselling 2025 Round 2 Choice Filling will be essential for candidates who are looking to upgrade their allotted seat from round 1, as well as for candidates who did not get a seat previously. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has a timeline of Choice Filling from 5th September 2025 to 9th September 2025 (till 11:55 PM server time). Candidates will need to enter and fill out the candidates preferred colleges and courses during this time. 

Once candidates have completed filling out their choices, the Choice Locking window will open on 9th September 2025 from 04:00 PM till 11:55 PM for candidates to lock their choice of colleges to show confirmation of participation. This round is pivotal in terms of admission through the All India Quota, Central Universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, and Deemed Universities.

MCC NEET UG Counselling 2025 Round 2 Choice Filling Schedule

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the official schedule for the Round 2 Choice Filling of NEET UG Counselling 2025. Candidates who did not get a seat in Round 1, or candidates who want to upgrade their seat must participate in this round by filling in their favorite colleges and courses within the available time.

The Choice Filling will be open for 5 days and then candidates can lock the choices in allotted time. Please note, if candidates do not lock their choices, the last saved options will automatically locked after time elapsed.

Who Can Participate in Round 2 Choice Filling?

Round 2 of MCC NEET UG Counselling 2025 gives candidates another chance to get or upgrade their seats. However, not all candidates will be eligible to participate in this round, and it will be beneficial for candidates to know before they start.

Eligible Candidates for Round 2 Choice Filling:

  • The first category of eligible candidates includes candidates who registered in Round 1 but did not get any seat. In this case, these candidates can participate in Round 2 directly as they do not need to register again.
  • The second category is candidates who were allocated a seat in Round 1 but did not join the college. They can now participate in stage 2 as they did not join the assigned college.
  • The third category is candidates who joined the assigned college in Round 1, but wanted to use the upgrade option. Candidates in this situation can fill fresh choices and try to get an upgraded seat in Round 2.
  • The fourth category of candidates are students who are fresh candidates and did not register in Round 1. They will need to register again, pay the necessary fees, and take part in Round 2.
  • The fifth category of candidates are candidates who the allocated seat in Round 1 but it was cancelled due to document verification. These candidates can also fill choices again in Round 2.

Step-by-Step Process of Round 2 Choice Filling

The Round 2 Choice Filling in MCC NEET UG Counselling 2025 allows candidates to make changes or make their preferences for medical and dental colleges. Candidates needs to very carefully follow every step to successfully participate.

Step 1: Access the MCC Official Website

  • Visit MCC official portal www.mcc.nic.in.
  • Click on UG Medical Counselling 2025.

Step 2: Candidate Login

  • Enter your NEET UG Roll Number, choose your Password, and type the Security Pin to login. 
  • The choice filling portal is only available to registered candidates.

Step 3: Choice filling window opens 

  • Click on Choice Filling under Round 2 from the dashboard; you will see a list of medical and dental colleges with courses available.

Step 4: Add your college and course preferences

  • From the list of medical and dental colleges with courses available, click on your desired MBBS/BDS colleges and course, then click “Add”, which will add them to your preference list.

Step 5: Arrange Choices in Order of Preference

  • You can choose the ‘Move Up/Down’ option to arrange the order of your choices in rank or priorities. 
  • Your higher ranked choices will be allotted at the beginning once the time, seat availability, and even your NEET rank is accounted.

Step 6: Review choices and save 

  • After sorting and arranging, and editing your choices you should save your choices frequently to avoid data loss. You are able to remove, add, or change your choices as long as you are still inside the time limit, for the filling.

Step 7: Choice Locking 

  • On 9th September 2025 (04:00 PM to 11:55 PM); the candidates can lock choices.
  • Once locked, choices cannot be changed.
  • A printout of the locked choices must be kept for future reference.

A. Candidates will be able to lock their choices between 4:00 PM to 11:55 PM on 9th September 2025. If they do not lock their choices then the last saved choices will always be locked as it is part of the process.

Q. Can I participate in Round 2 without registering again?

A. If you registered as a student in Round 1, you do not have to register again however, fresh candidates must register and pay the counselling fee for Round 2 in order to participate.

Q. What happens if I don’t fill any choices in Round 2?

A. If no choices are filled, you will not be considered for allotment in Round 2 and will lose the opportunity for seat upgradation.

Q. Can I exit after Round 2 allotment?

A. After Round 2, exit with forfeiture is not allowed. If you are allotted a seat and don’t join, your security deposit will be forfeited.
