Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has made an important announcement related to Round 2 Choice Filling & Locking schedule for NEET UG Counselling-2025. After receiving several requests from candidates and to enable maximum participation, MCC decided to extend the dates of choice filling and locking for Round 2.
As per the new schedule, the choice filling window will be opened till 08:00 AM on 15th September 2025 which will provide students more time in order to fill and lock their preferences related to MBBS / BDS under All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed Universities, Central Universities, AIIMS , JIPMER etc, while the choice locking window will be opened from 01:00 PM of 14th September 2025 and closes at 08:00 AM of 15th September 2025 (server time). This will give candidates a final chance to review, rearrange and lock their choices before the system finally freezes them.
This change will come as a relief to lots of students who may have just missed the previous deadline of 5th – 9th September 2025 (Choice Filling) and 9th September 2025, 04:00 PM – 11:55 PM (Choice Locking). It is also strongly advised that candidates do not leave it until the last possible moment but rather take advantage of the additional time. Candidates are strongly advised to submit their preferences in the correct order of priority.

MCC NEET Counselling 2025 Round 2 Choice Filling Date
MCC has officially announced the revised schedule of Round 2 Choice Filling and Locking of NEET UG Counselling 2025 which means students have additional time to submit their preferences for MBBS/BDS seats available 15% All India Quota (AIQ), Deemed/Central Universities, AIIMS, and JIPMER.
Candidates must visit the official counselling portal – mcc.nic.in, and carefully fill in their college and course preferences. They get increased time to reconsider their choices and make changes before final locking of choices.

MCC NEET Counselling Choice Filling Process
Choice filling and locking process is one of the most important stages of the MCC NEET UG Counselling. This will determine which college and course you will be allotted, depending on your NEET 2025 rank, category, seat availability, and preferences. The MCC will conduct this indirectly through its official site – mcc.nic.in. Follow the following process step-by-step, and successfully choice filling and locking for MCC NEET Counselling 2025:
Login to MCC Portal
- You will need to use the official MCC counselling website, found here: mcc.nic.in.
- Click on “UG Medical Counselling” and log in using your NEET UG 2025 Roll Number, Application Number and your password.
Go to Choice Filling
- Once you have logged it, click on the “Choice Filling & Locking” button showing on the dashboard.
View Seat Matrix & College Choices
- Make sure to view the seat matrix carefully and see the available seats in AIQ, Central Universities, Deemed Universities, AIIMS and JIPMER.
- This step needs to be taken, as it would help you prioritise your college and course preferences accordingly.
Fill Choices in Order of Preference
- Select the colleges and courses that you want to select one by one.
- State the choices according to the order of your preferences – the first choice should be your most preferred college/coursem
- You can add, delete and rearrange choices before the final locking
Save Choices Regularly
- Keep saving your filled choices frequently to avoid data loss due to technical issues or session timeouts.
Lock Your Choices
- Once you are satisfied with your preferences, click on the “Lock Choices” button.
- Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number/email for final confirmation.
- After locking, download and save the confirmation slip for future reference.
