There was a significant amount of change to most colleges’ Round 2 NEET cut-off ranks as compared to Round 1 for the Bihar NEET Counselling 2025 round. Although government-colleges, Patna Medical College (PMC), Nalanda Medical College (NMC), and IGIMS Patna, maintained the trend of attracting candidates with the highest ranks in the Round 2 cut-off ranks, we also saw some shift increase in appearance of students in private colleges like Katihar Medical College (KMC), Madhubani Medical College (MMC), and Lord Buddha Koshi Medical College (LBKMC) – particularly in terms of NRI and management quota students.

In this blog we will compare the Round 1 v Round 2 cut-off ranks for MBBS and BDS programmes offered by government and private medical colleges in Bihar. We will outline the shifts in AIR (All India Rank) for the various categories to summarize some trend data for both government and private medical colleges, and provide useful insight and information for students who are preparing for Round 3 or future counselling rounds.
