Chandigarh NEET Counselling Choice Filling

Chandigarh's process is a little different from typical state CAP portals, there isn't a separate "preference/choice filling" step for multiple colleges, since each course (MBBS/BDS) has only one participating institution. Instead:

  • While filling the single online application form, you select which courses you want to apply for MBBS, BDS, or a combination.
  • You do not rank colleges in order of preference, since there is only one government institution per course in the UT Chandigarh centralized process.
  • Within each course, your seat pool (UT Chandigarh Pool, All India Quota, Central Pool, Foreign Indian Student/NRI, or a reserved category) is determined by the category and eligibility criteria you claim at the time of application.
  • Once the provisional and final eligibility lists are published, you attend the in-person counselling for the specific courses you applied for, where seat allotment happens directly based on your NEET UG rank and category, there's no separate online "trial allotment" as seen in larger state processes.
