This round will allow eligible students to fill in, edit and lock their preference forms for MBBS and BDS seats for government, corporation and private medical and dental colleges in the state of Maharashtra. All the candidates who have not been allotted seats in the previous rounds or those who want to upgrade their seat allotment in the previous rounds will have to work in this round.

Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2025 Round 3 Choice Filling Schedule

The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra has released the revised schedule for CAP Round 3 of MBBS and BDS admissions under Maharashtra NEET UG Counselling 2025. This round is important for candidates seeking admission to medical and dental colleges who either wish to upgrade their previously allotted seats or were not allotted any seat in earlier rounds.

As per the latest revision, the Online Filling of Preference Form for CAP Round 3 will now be conducted from 11th October 2025 to 14th October 2025 (up to 11:59 PM server time). The complete schedule is as follows:

Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2025 Round 3 Choice Filling Process

NEET UG counselling for MBBS, BDS courses at Government, Corporation, Government-aided, Private and Minority colleges across the State of Maharashtra is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra. The CAP Round 3 Choice Filling Process is an important part of this process in which eligible candidates select their choice of colleges and courses online. This process is entirely online, through the official website – www.mahacet.org.

1. Mode of Choice Filling

  • The entire preference form filling for CAP Round 3 is online only.
  • There will be no offline submission of the preference form.
  • Eligible candidates listed in the provisional state merit list after document verification can fill the preference form separately for Round 3.

2. Institutional Quota Choice Option

  • During the online registration period, candidates will have the option to choose from the Institutional Quota (15%) available in Unaided Private / Minority colleges for courses like MBBS, and BDS. 
  • The Institute charges and is Non-refundable admission process fee is Rs.5,000. 
  • For admission to these institutions, institutional quota seats will be offered based on the NEET UG 2025 rank on an All India basis for NRI, OMS (Outside Maharashtra State), and OCI candidates. 
  • If a candidate is applying for institutional quota seats in courses other than MBBS/BDS, the aspirants need to apply directly to the institutions.

3. Online Preference Form Filling

  • The Preference Form must be filled separately for each counselling round (Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and Online Stray Vacancy Round).
  • Candidates can edit or rearrange choices multiple times before clicking the “Submit” button.
  • Once the Submit button is clicked, no further changes are allowed.
  • The preferences filled for Round 3 will be considered only for Round 3 seat allocation.
  • Candidates must fill at least one preference, but can choose as many as they desire.

4. Group-wise Course Allocation

The choice filling and selection rounds are divided into three groups:

  • Group A: MBBS / BDS courses
  • Group B: BAMS / BHMS / BUMS courses
  • Group C: BNYS / BPTH / BOTH / BP&O / BASLP

The Group C selection is identified in the same way as Group B. The CET Cell may conduct four or more rounds depending on seat availability.

5. Understanding College Codes and Seat Types

Every college and course combination has a four-digit code and a suffix (S or N).

  • ‘S’ refers to State Quota (Government / Corporation / Aided Colleges + 85% in Private/Minority Colleges).
  • ‘N’ refers to Institutional Quota (15% in Private/Minority Colleges).

Candidates must check the fee structure for both quota types on the Fee Regulating website (www.mahafra.org).

6. Preference Order and Submission

  • Candidates must list their most preferred course and college as Preference No. 1, followed by subsequent choices in order of priority.
  • The choices entered are final and binding for that particular round once submitted.
  • If a candidate does not include a specific college or course code, it will be assumed that they are not interested in that option.
