Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2025 is going to be organized by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot for admissions in MD, MS, PG Diploma, DNB, Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine, and 6 months training in Ultrasonography courses of NEET PG 2025 session. The online application process is available on the official website www.bfuhs.ac.in, and the Last date to fill the application form is 03 November 2025 up to 03:00 PM.

The counselling process will be held online. The admissions will be made strictly based on NEET PG 2025 merit, government reservation policies, and the availability of seats in approved colleges and specialities. Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2025 Process

The process of Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2025 consists of multiple phases taking place completely online to offer a system of allocating seats for postgraduate medical courses that is transparent and straightforward. The process from registration to reporting is conducted through the official portal of the counselling authority. Below, is a summary of the process undertaken as part of the first round of online counselling:  

• Online Registration and Application Form Filling  

Candidates will start the process after creating a registration on the official counselling website and filling in their application form in relation to the timelines published.  

• Application fee pay  

After registering, the applicant must pay the application fee through the university’s online payment platform so it can validate their application. 

• Combined Provisional Merit List  

After the application time window closes a combined provisional merit list will be uploaded on the university website. This is prepared based on the NEET PG scores and eligibility of applicants.

• Online Submission of Preferences

Candidates who are included in the merit list can then fill in their choices for course, specialty, college, and hospital as per their preferences.

• Provisional Allotment of Seats

Based on the candidate’s merit position, preferences, and availability of seats, a provisional seat allotment is made. The result is published online on the university portal.

• Payment of Tuition Fee

After the provisional allotment, candidates need to deposit the tuition fee through the online payment gateway provided on the university website to confirm their seat.

• Reporting to the Allotted College/Hospital

Candidates must report to their allotted college or hospital for verification of original documents and eligibility. A medical examination is also conducted at this stage.

• Verification and Final Admission Decision

1. If the candidate is found eligible as per Punjab Government notification, the Principal/Nodal Officer will allow the candidate to join the course.
2. If the candidate is found ineligible, they will not be allowed to join, and the Principal/Nodal Officer will inform the university about the same.

Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2025 Online Application Process

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) will conduct the Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2025 for MD, MS, Diploma, DNB, and PGDSM courses in online mode. Candidates who qualify the NEET PG 2025, will be invited to apply through the university’s official website which is www.bfuhs.ac.in. The online application will we done in phases including registering, uploading the required documents, allowing to the process of filling and locking choices and finally the allotment of seats. The process will flow as described below:

Step I – Filling of online admission application form

• Only candidates who qualify the NEET PG 2025 will be allowed to submit their application online for admission to Postgraduate medical courses which will also include Diploma programs and a six-month Ultrasonography course. 
• Candidates will be required to upload the following documents while initiating their application and filling out the registration form: 

1. Soft copy of candidate’s photograph (maximum size 30 KB)

2. Soft copy of candidate’s signature (maximum size 30KB)

3. Color photograph of size 35×45 mm with 75% coverage of face and head.
4. Must include the candidate’s name and date at the bottom.
5. Background should be white or light-colored with no cap or goggles.
6. Only regular spectacles are allowed.
7. The photo should be clear, natural, and printed with 600 dpi resolution.
8. Applications with unclear or invalid photographs are liable to be rejected.

• Once successfully submitted, the University will provide a unique Registration ID (Login ID) and Password via the registered mobile number as well as email ID. These credentials will be required for all future engagements, including payment of the fee, filling in the choices for seats, and downloading of the allotment letter.
• Please note, filling in the online application form and payment of fee does not constitute admission, as eligibility verification will be conducted thereafter. 
• The MBBS degree must be recognized by the NMC. If found otherwise, candidature will be canceled.
• Each candidate should submit only one application form. Multiple submissions will be rejected.
• Candidates should fill in all required details very carefully and make online payment for the application fee through university payment gateway. 
• The online application form cannot be used in any offline mode and printed versions will not be accepted.
• Candidates must save soft and hard copies of the application form sent to the registered email address for future reference.
• In case the application is incomplete and/or not rightly can be rejected. Fees are non-refundable.

Step II – Category Selection in the Application Form

When submitting the online application form, it is important that candidates choose the category code with care. If a category code is not selected, it will be assumed the candidate belongs to the General (Open) category. Candidates may select more than one category, if applicable. The purpose for selecting a category is to determine merit position for counselling. Having selected a category does not automatically guarantee reservation benefits unless the candidates satisfies the appropriate proof of the category as described in Punjab Government guidelines.

PwD Category Instructions:

• Candidates must obtain their disability certificate online from the requisite boards for disabilities in order to fill in their choice in the correct category, as per the NMC guidelines. Candidates must carry the valid certificate in the approved format with them to the counselling session. No other certificate or separate boards for medical disabilities will be accepted. 

EWS Category Instructions:

Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2025 Choice Filling Instructions

The choice filling process is a crucial stage in the Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2025 conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS). Only candidates who have successfully registered and paid the counselling fee within the prescribed timeline are eligible to participate in the online counselling. No unregistered candidate will be allowed to take part in any counselling round, whether online or physical.

Candidates are advised to read all eligibility conditions carefully before filling their choices. Merely submitting the online preference form or appearing in counselling does not guarantee admission. The final eligibility of candidates is verified by the Principal or Nodal Officer of the allotted college or hospital at the time of reporting, as per the Punjab Government’s notifications. Candidates who are not eligible or medically unfit as per NMC will not be considered for admission.

Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2025 will be held online, and after selection, candidates must personally report to the college or hospital in the assigned seat. During the online counselling, the candidate must log into the NEET-PG counselling website. There, the candidate will be asked to fill out the counselling form and indicate their preferences in their preferred order for course/specialty and college/hospital. The merit list, best ranked preference filled-in by the candidate and availability of seat selection will be used to assign seats for the counselling seats. Candidates should rank each type of seat in order of preference. 

Candidates from the reserved category who score equal to or above the general category cut off will be considered under open merit first. If there are no available seats under open merit matched with the candidate’s first choice their designation category will then be assigned. Candidates from the reserved category who score below the general category cut off will only be considered for their respective reserved category seat selection. 

Once a provisional seat has been assigned, the candidate will be required to log into their remaining account and download the provisional assignment letter by logging into the BFUHS website. The candidate is required to report to the relevant college/hospital, after receiving and verifying all original documents listed in their allotment letter. If they only pay the tuition fees, this does not mean they have been granted admission to the institution assigned on the allotment letter of their Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2025 prospectively allotment letter.  Admission is effective only after a candidate’s documents have been verified with the institution and they have been declared eligible.

Candidates who do not report to the college/hospital they were allotted within the specified time-period and have completed the verification of their documents will lose their allotted seat, which will then be available in the next round of counselling.

If any candidate requests to withdraw or surrender their seat after the first round, they must submit a written application to the allotted college or hospital prior to the specified withdrawal time. 

Important: The option of seat upgradation and free exit is only available to candidates in Round 1 of the Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2025 process.

Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2025 Provisional Allotment of Seat

The provisional process of seat allotment for Punjab NEET PG Counselling 2025 is conducted by BFUHS on a merit basis only and as per preference and availability of seats.  

• The online seat allotment is only provisional and will only be confirmed once the verification of documents has been completed. 
• Candidates must report for verification at the allotted college/hospital within the prescribed time limit. 
• Seats are allotted as per the Government of Punjab notifications, which will prioritize eligible candidates as per their own quota. 
• If there are seats available at private, colleges, focus will generally be given to those students with the Management Quota first, and In-service (IP) Quota, if available, second. 
• In minority colleges, if there are IP seats reserved for minority candidates, those candidates are allotted first; if there are no minority candidates to request IP seats, they are then converted to Minority Quota seats, if required.  
• Candidates in the reserved category, when there is no open merit or IP candidate available, will be first allotted as per Open merit of SC/BC/EWS category (depending on the category they qualify for). 

If seats allotted to candidates are not reported to or documented/qualified as directed in the time frame prescribed, then the candidates seat will be eventually canceled automatically, and then the seat offered to the next allotee in the process of the next rounds allotted.

Instructions Regarding Deposition Of Fee

The provisionally selected candidates are required to deposit the requisite six months fee through university payment gateway in university account after logging into their login ID account and carry the payment receipt to the respective allotted institute.

Guidelines for 2nd Round

• Candidates satisfied with their Round 1 seat need not participate in the second round.
• Those seeking upgradation or change of course/college must submit willingness and fill fresh preferences.
• Candidates can list colleges even if they don’t appear in the vacancy list since seats may open up due to shifting or withdrawal.
• The tuition fee from Round 1 will be adjusted in case of upgradation.
• Candidates who have already paid a deposit of Rs. 2,00,000 or more are exempt from paying again.

Guidelines for 3rd Round

• Candidates who are satisfied with their Round 1 or Round 2 seat do not need to participate again.
• Those wishing to upgrade or change must fill fresh preferences and submit willingness.
