There are about 60 postgraduate medical colleges in Uttar Pradesh with approximately 4381 PG seats available for admission. The registration process for UP NEET PG Counselling 2025 is entirely online and can be completed through the official website (https://upneet.gov.in).
Login Credentials
- Candidates must use their NEET-PG Roll Number and the same email ID used during NEET PG-2025 registration.
- Pre-populated details such as Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, etc., from the NBE portal will be used for counselling. No changes will be allowed.
Filling Registration Form
- Enter details such as Domicile, Category, Subcategory, In-service (PMHS) employment status, MBBS college passed from, and address.
- Ensure all information is accurate before submission.
Registration Fee
- Rs. 3,000/- (One-time fee for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd rounds).
- Fresh registration with the same fee is required for the Stray Vacancy Round.
- Non-refundable.
Password Creation
- Candidates must create a password for choice filling and locking.
- Do not share the password with anyone.
Submission & Acknowledgment

Filling Choices
- The candidates can fill in as many choices as they like across government and private colleges, all based on their own eligibility and preference.
- Choices can be modified or changed multiple times until the final locking date.
Choice Locking
Final submission and locking of choices is mandatory.
- If a candidate fails to lock the choices within the scheduled time, the online seat allotment will not occur.

Basis of Allotment

Allotment Letter & Reporting

First Round Admission
- Candidates who do not take admission in the first round are allowed a free exit.
- Candidates who take admission but wish for upgradation remain eligible for the second and third rounds.
Seat Reshuffling / Upgradation
- Candidates should avoid filling the same seat/college where they are already admitted during reshuffling rounds.
- If the same seat/college is allotted again, the previous allotment is automatically cancelled.
- Mandatory: Admission must be taken in the newly allotted seat; otherwise, the allotment is cancelled.
Category Conversion (During 3rd Round for State Quota)
Seat conversion occurs when candidates of a particular reserved category are exhausted.

Once the seat allotment process has been accomplished, candidates have to go through the admission process to get the admission to the PG medical or dental seats in Uttar Pradesh.
Reporting and Fee Deposit
- Candidates have to report at the Government Medical & Dental College or the Nodal Centre mentioned in the allotment letter.
- For Private Colleges / Institutes/ Universities (excluding minority institutions), the tuition fee fixed by the Government has to be deposited at the time of admission.
- For Minority Institutions, the tuition fee prescribed shall be deposited by the respective college/institute.
- Candidates who do not report and deposit the fee within the stipulated time will lose their right of admission.

Debarment Rule
Candidates who leave their allotted seat after the final round of counselling or before completing the course in Government Medical or Dental Colleges will be debarred from participating in the next academic session’s admission process. This rule aims to ensure accountability and reduce seat wastage in postgraduate courses.
Uttar Pradesh NEET PG Counselling 2025 Resignation Policy
Only those candidates who have completed their admission process after seat allotment can submit a resignation. The resignation must be given in person at the same college or nodal centre where admission was completed, resignations sent through any other mode will not be accepted.
