Who Can Participate in Round 3?
The detailed Round 3 instructions allow eligible candidates from previous counselling rounds to participate under specified conditions.
Candidates who have already registered in Round 1 or Round 2 and are eligible for Round 3 can participate through the prescribed online process. Candidates holding Float seats and seeking upgradation are required to complete the mandatory online re-registration, form filling, choice filling and locking process.
Candidates should carefully check their eligibility and the applicable instructions before participating in Round 3.
Fresh Choice Filling Required for Round 3
One of the important instructions for Round 3 is that candidates have to submit their choices again through the New Choice Submit facility.
The choices submitted in earlier rounds will not simply be treated as the final choices for Round 3. Candidates participating in the third round must carefully fill and submit their fresh preferences according to the colleges and courses they are willing to join.
Candidates are advised to check the available seats, college information, course details and applicable fees before submitting their choices.
Freeze and Float Options
Candidates who were allotted seats in earlier rounds and selected the Freeze option will continue with their allotted seat and, as per the notified conditions, may not participate in further upgradation.
Candidates who selected the Float option can participate in Round 3 for seat upgradation, subject to the applicable rules.
Candidates who receive a Round 3 allotment should carefully complete the admission formalities within the prescribed deadline.
Round 3 Seat Allotment
The final seat matrix will be displayed on 6 October 2026. The counselling board will process the data on 7 and 8 October 2026, after which the Round 3 result will be declared on 9 October 2026.
Seat allotment will be carried out according to the prescribed counselling rules, candidate merit, eligibility and the choices/preferences submitted by the candidate.
Candidates should note that the choice of college and course is important because the detailed instructions advise candidates to carefully consider the available seats and their preferred options before submitting choices.
Seat Surrender, Withdrawal and Resignation
Candidates holding admitted or Float seats from Round 1 and Round 2 who wish to surrender, withdraw or resign from their seats can do so within the notified deadline. The Round 3 schedule specifies the last date for surrender/withdrawal/resignation as 5 October 2026 up to 5:00 PM
The applicable process involves forfeiture of the security fee deposit as specified in the counselling instructions. The university has separately uploaded detailed instructions regarding the surrender, withdrawal and vacation of seats.
Stray Vacancy Round
The university has stated that the Stray Vacancy Round counselling, if conducted, will be notified separately.
Therefore, candidates should wait for a separate notification regarding the schedule and procedure of any Stray Vacancy Round.
