The original NEET UG 2026 exam, scheduled for 3rd May 2026, was cancelled by the National Testing Agency after paper leak allegations, and a Re-NEET Exam was held on 21st June 2026, with results declared on 16th July 2026.
15% of seats in government medical colleges are filled through the All India Quota (AIQ), conducted centrally by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), while the remaining 85% State Quota seats, along with Management and NRI quota seats at the state’s private college, are filled by DHS Manipur through its own single-window e-counselling system.

Types of Manipur NEET Counselling 2026
Manipur's NEET counselling covers several distinct seat categories, all managed through the same web portal:
- State Government Seats – For MBBS, BDS, BASLP and BPT courses at RIMS, JNIMS, Shija Academy of Health Sciences (SAHS), Churachandpur Medical College (CMC), Regional Dental College (RDC), and Regional Institute of Paramedical and Nursing Sciences (RIPANS), among others. These fall under the 85% State Quota.
- Management Quota Seats – Available only for the MBBS course at Shija Academy of Health Sciences (SAHS), the state's sole private medical college.
- NRI Quota Seats – Also available only for the MBBS course at SAHS, for Non-Resident Indian applicants.
- All India Quota (AIQ) Seats – 15% of seats in government medical colleges are filled through AIQ, conducted centrally by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on mcc.nic.in, open to NEET-qualified candidates from anywhere in India.

Manipur NEET Counselling Process Step by Step
The overall admission journey through the Manipur Medical e-Counselling portal follows these stages:
- NEET UG Result – Candidates check their NEET UG 2026 result, All India Rank and Category Rank.
- Online Registration – Log in to the portal using NEET Roll Number, Application Number and Date of Birth, then set up an account with email, mobile number, password and OTP verification.
- Seat Type Selection – Choose the seat types to apply for: Government seats, Management quota (SAHS), and/or NRI quota (SAHS).
- Profile Completion – Verify auto-fetched NEET details (Roll No., AIR, Category Rank, DOB, Caste, etc.) and add Eligibility Criteria, Special Category, and address details.
- 12th Standard Mark Entry – Enter subject-wise marks (English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology) along with institute, board and year of passing.
- Document Upload – Upload passport photo, NEET Score Card, age proof, Class XII mark sheet, domicile certificate, and special category certificate (if applicable).
- Course-Institute Choice Filling – Select and arrange Course-Institute combinations in order of preference (minimum one combination required).
- Preview & Declaration – Review the complete application and confirm the declaration before proceeding to payment; no further edits are possible after this step.
- Fee Payment – Pay the application fee and refundable security deposit online, and provide bank account details for the security deposit refund.
- Choice Locking – Lock the seat choices within the stipulated timeline (auto-locked otherwise).
- Merit List & Seat Allotment – DHS publishes the merit list and seat allotment result based on NEET rank, category and choices filled.
- Reporting & Document Verification – Allotted candidates report to the respective college with original documents within the stipulated joining time.
- Subsequent Rounds – The same registration-choice filling-allotment cycle repeats for Round 2, Round 3 and the stray vacancy round (if required) for any seats that remain vacant.
Manipur NEET Counselling Registration Process
To register on the Manipur Medical e-Counselling portal, candidates need to:
- Visit https://manipurmc.mn.gov.in, best viewed on a desktop (minimum resolution 1366×768) using Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
- Click on "Apply" on the homepage to open the registration link.
- Enter your NEET-UG Roll Number, Application Number, and Date of Birth, then click "Get Data" if the details are correct, your father's name will be auto-displayed.
- Enter a valid email address and mobile number (all future communication will be sent here).
- Create a strong password as per the prescribed format, enter the captcha, and submit.
- Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile and email to verify your contact details.
- Log in using your NEET-UG Roll Number as the username and your newly created password to begin the registration process.
- Registration is allowed before every round of counselling, but candidates who have already registered do not need to register again for subsequent rounds.
Only registration through this official web-based application is valid, DHS does not allot any seats manually or accept registration through any other mode.
Manipur NEET Counselling Choice Filling
Choice filling in Manipur's e-counselling works as follows:
- After profile completion, marks entry, and document upload, candidates move to the Course-Institute Choice Filling screen.
- Candidates select their preferred Course-Institute combinations (for example, MBBS-RIMS, MBBS-JNIMS, MBBS-CMC, MBBS-SAHS, BDS-RDC, BASLP-RIMS, etc.) from the available list and arrange them in order of preference.
- At least one Course-Institute combination must be selected.
- Candidates can view seat vacancy details while filling choices.
- Preferences can be reordered or changed as many times as needed before locking.
- Once "Seat Choices" are locked, they cannot be modified and if a candidate doesn't lock them manually, the system automatically locks the choices at the end of the stipulated timeline.
- Choice Filling is mandatory for every round of counselling a choice locked in one round is not carried forward or considered valid for the next round.
- It's a good idea to check each college's fee structure before finalising your seat choices, since fee details are not listed within the portal itself.
Manipur NEET Counselling 2026 Documents Required
Keep the following documents ready (as originals and scanned copies, per the specified file formats and size limits):
- NEET UG 2026 Admit Card and Score Card (current year)
- Passport-size colour photograph (recent, 80% face visible without mask, ears visible, plain white background)
- Age proof / Class X pass certificate
- Class XII mark sheet and pass certificate
- Domicile Certificate (for Manipur State Quota eligibility)
- Category/Special Category certificate, where applicable (for example, Child of Armed Force Personnel & Ex-Servicemen)
- Bank account details (Account Holder Name, Bank Name, Account Number, IFSC Code) for the refund of the security deposit
All documents (except the photo) are generally required in PDF format within the specified size range, and the acknowledgement slip generated after successful payment should be retained as proof of registration.
Manipur NEET Counselling Seat Allotment Process
- Seat allotment is based strictly on NEET UG All India Rank, Category Rank, choices filled by the candidate, and seat availability, there is no interview or additional evaluation.
- Once choices are locked (or auto-locked at the end of the timeline), DHS processes the allotment and publishes the seat allotment result on the portal.
- Allotted candidates must report to the respective college with original documents within the stipulated joining time.
- If a candidate fails to join the institute in the 2nd or subsequent rounds within the stipulated time, or if the admission is later cancelled for any reason (including submission of incorrect information), the Refundable Security Fee of Rs.5,000 is forfeited.
- The refundable security deposit is returned to the candidate's provided bank account only after completion of all rounds of counselling.
- Registration remains open before every round, but already-registered candidates don't need to register again, they only need to complete choice filling again for each new round, since choices from a previous round don't carry forward.
- Communication about allotment is done only via SMS to the registered mobile number and notifications on the official DHS websites no separate individual letters are issued, and candidates must download their allotment letter directly from the portal.
