Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released important updates regarding the UGCET 2026 counselling process, including the final seat allotment results for the second round of various undergraduate courses and the next steps for MBBS and BDS Round 1 counselling.
The notification dated August 24, 2026, provides instructions for candidates allotted seats in Engineering, Architecture, Yoga & Naturopathy, Farm Sciences, B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharm, Pharm-D, BPT, BPO and Allied Health Sciences courses. It also outlines the revised process for candidates participating in Medical and Dental courses following the MCC Round 1 allotment.
KEA UGCET 2026 Second Round Final Allotment Result
KEA has announced the final seat allotment result for Round 2 of UGCET 2026 for:
- Engineering
- Architecture
- Yoga & Naturopathy
- Farm Sciences
- B.Sc Nursing
- B.Pharm
- Pharm-D
- BPT
- BPO
- Allied Health Sciences
Candidates allotted seats in these courses can exercise the applicable choice and complete the required fee payment and admission formalities.
Important Dates for UGCET Round 2 Allotted Candidates

Candidates who have been allotted seats can select the applicable choice and proceed with admission within the prescribed timeline.
Choice 1 Candidates
Candidates who select Choice 1 must compulsorily take admission to the allotted seat. However, candidates who are interested in participating in the third round of seat allotment can do so by logging into the KEA portal after the third-round schedule is announced.
Candidates who do not choose Choice 1 but wish to participate in the third round will have to cancel the seat allotted in Round 2 by paying the prescribed penalty of ₹5,000 and register for the third round by paying the registration fee afresh.
KEA Medical & Dental Counselling 2026: Revised First Round Process
KEA has also issued important instructions for candidates participating in Medical and Dental courses following the MCC Round 1 seat allotment.
The first-round provisional seat allotment results for Medical and Dental courses were announced on August 23, 2026. Candidates who wish to take admission to the seat allotted through MCC in Round 1 must cancel their existing KEA counselling choice by logging into the KEA portal on August 25 or August 26, 2026, and selecting Choice-4.
KEA to Re-run First Round Allotment
KEA will re-run the first-round allotment process after seats are cancelled by candidates who have accepted MCC-allotted seats.
The vacant seats will be made available to eligible first-round candidates in accordance with the recent orders of the High Court. The revised first-round allotment will be conducted based on the options already entered by candidates.
Candidates should note that no changes to the existing options will be permitted during this re-run process.
The revised first-round allotment final results will subsequently be published after considering the available seats, candidates’ existing choices and applicable allotment rules.
Choice Selection Portal to Be Enabled
After the revised first-round allotment process, the choice selection portal for Medical and Dental courses for Round 1 will be enabled by KEA.
Candidates are advised to carefully follow the instructions issued by KEA and regularly check the official counselling portal for the exact dates and further updates.

Candidates participating in KEA counselling should:
- Check their latest seat allotment status carefully.
- Complete fee payment and admission within the prescribed deadline wherever applicable.
- Candidates accepting an MCC-allotted Medical/Dental seat should complete the required Choice-4 cancellation process on the KEA portal.
- Candidates should not make assumptions regarding seat retention or participation in subsequent rounds and should follow the applicable KEA choice rules.
- Regularly check the KEA website for the revised allotment result and further counselling notifications.
