Kerala NEET Counselling 2026 First Phase Allotment Schedule Released

Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala has released the tentative first phase allotment schedule for KEAM 2026 MBBS and BDS admissions. The first phase allotment is applicable to candidates included in the State Medical Rank List, except candidates seeking admission under the NRI quota.

Eligible candidates can register fresh options for MBBS and BDS courses through the official CEE Kerala website. Seat allotment will be carried out based on the options registered by candidates within the prescribed period.

Candidates included in the State Medical Rank List can participate in the allotment process by registering their options through the official CEE Kerala website. The options received up to 20 August 2026, 12:00 Noon will be considered for the first phase allotment.

Colleges Included in First Phase Allotment

The first phase allotment covers Medical Colleges and Dental Colleges listed in the respective annexures of the notification. The allotment will be based on the options registered by eligible candidates and the applicable reservation and admission rules.

Seat Reservation

The notification provides the following percentage breakup of seats as per the mandatory reservation pattern:

The SEBC reservation includes categories such as Ezhava, Muslim, Other Backward Hindu, Latin Catholic and Anglo Indian, Dheevara and related communities, Viswakarma and related communities, Kusavan and related communities, Other Backward Christian, Kudumbi and other specified groups, as detailed in the notification.

Important Reservation Provisions

The notification also mentions specific reservation arrangements for certain government medical colleges. For the Government Medical College, Palakkad (Institute of Integrated Medical Sciences, Palakkad), the reservation pattern is stated as Scheduled Caste 70%, Scheduled Tribe 2%, General Merit 13% and All India Quota 15%.

For the Government Medical College, Kollam, the notification states that the reservation pattern will include State Quota 50%, Wards of Insured Persons under Employees State Insurance Corporation 35% and All India Quota 15%. The notification also notes that the ESI quota is not allotted by CEE.

NRI and Minority Quota Options

Candidates interested in admission under the minority quota in eligible self-financing medical and dental colleges can give their options to the colleges concerned through the CEE Kerala website within the stipulated time.

The notification states that allotment to the NRI quota will commence from Round 2 only.

All Indian candidates can also give options for the 15% All India Quota seats available in self-financing medical colleges, as per the notification.

What Candidates Should Do

Candidates eligible for the first phase allotment should register their preferred MBBS and BDS options within the prescribed deadline. Since allotment will be based on the options registered by candidates, they should carefully arrange their course and college preferences before the option registration facility closes.

Candidates allotted a seat in the first phase must follow the instructions regarding fee remittance and admission within the specified dates. College authorities are required to approve the admitted candidates and submit the admission list through OAMS by August 28, 2026, up to 5:00 PM.
