Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has revised the schedule for the NEET UG 2026 Stray Vacancy Round of online counselling for MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses. The revised schedule follows an extension of the All India Quota stray vacancy round by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
Separate schedules have also been provided for vacant All India Quota MBBS seats at specified medical colleges and BDS seats at designated dental colleges. The revised notice states that the earlier notice on 14 October 2026, should be treated as modified to the extent of the changes.

Choice Filling Deadline Extended to October 21
Registered candidates can fill their choices for seat allotment from 19 October 2026. The last date to complete choice filling is 21 October 2026, up to 6:00 PM.
Candidates who need to make changes to their submitted preferences will have an editing window from 6:01 PM on 21 October until midnight.
Candidates should review their selected colleges and courses carefully before the deadline. The revised notice does not indicate any extension beyond these dates.
State Merit List Scheduled for October 19
The Board has scheduled publication of the State Merit List for the Stray Vacancy Round on 19 October 2026. Candidates should check the list and follow the counselling instructions issued by JCECEB before proceeding with choice filling and seat allotment.
The vacant seat matrix was scheduled for display on 16 October 2026.
Provisional Allotment and Admission Process
The provisional seat allotment letters are scheduled to be issued between 22 and 26 October 2026. Document verification and admission at the concerned institute are also scheduled for 22–26 October 2026.
Candidates should follow the instructions provided with their allotment letters and complete the required admission formalities within the prescribed period.
