According to the notice, the remaining vacancies and list of eligible candidates will be published on 21 October 2026. Eligible candidates will then be able to submit their online applications and fill choices against the vacancies available on the counselling portal.

Important Instructions for Candidates
The notice includes specific instructions for candidates participating in the stray vacancy round:
- Choice filling: Candidates must submit their choices online against the vacancies available on the portal during the prescribed period.
- Real-time merit: The DME portal will display real-time merit information for up to 10 times the number of vacancies available in a college, as stated in the notice.
- Online attendance: Candidates can log their online attendance for the stray vacancy round at only one college, according to their filled choices.
- Physical reporting: Candidates must physically report to the college they are interested in and contact the government nodal officer appointed by DME for logging online attendance.
- Admission: Selected candidates will be admitted on 25 October 2026, based on attendance-cum-merit, during the scheduled reporting hours.
