Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has released a comprehensive process on Round 3 Choice Filling under Bihar NEET UG Counselling 2025. This process will assist candidates in filling their preferences in chronological order to allow them to choose which course and college they would like to study be it MBBS, BDS, or B.V.Sc. & A.H. in any of the government and private colleges of Bihar. Step 1: Payment of Counselling Fee and Security Deposit
- Before proceeding to this portion of choice filling, the candidate must have completed their counselling fee payment & security deposit to allow them to go to the choice filling section.
Step 2: Filling Choices of Course and Institution
- When you payment is confirmed, the candidate must log into their UGMAC portal, and fill in thier choices (course/ institution) in the order of their desirability.
- It is very important to select your choices preferentially because the allotment of a college will be based on the order of selectivity as well on NEET score.
Step 3: Saving Choices
- After selecting colleges and courses, candidates must click on the “Save Choices” option.
- This ensures that all selected preferences are temporarily stored in the system. However, saving choices alone does not lock them for final submission.
Step 4: Locking Choices
- Candidates must then click on the “Choice Locking” link to finalize their selected options before the last date and time. Locking the choices is a mandatory step — only locked choices will be considered for seat allotment.
- Once choices are locked, candidates can download or print their submitted choices for reference.
- The locking process is authenticated through an OTP sent to the registered mobile number and email ID.
Step 5: Editing Choices (If Required)
- Candidates who would like to change their preferences after locking them are able to “Unlock Choices.” This requires candidates to authenticate their choice via your registered password and OTP received through mobile or email. Candidate must lock their choices again within the deadline after editing them.
Step 6: Auto-Locking of Choices
- If a candidate saves but forgets to manually lock their choices before the deadline, the choices will automatically lock after the last date and time of choice filling.
