
Jharkhand NEET Counselling 2025 is conducted by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board for admission to the medical and dental courses in the prestigious medical & dental colleges in the state. Counselling will be done based on the NEET 2025 Exam score so candidates are requested to be prepared to get good scores in the Exam which will ensure they have a better chance to get admitted to their desired colleges in the state.

The State Counselling conducting authority will be responsible for 85% of seat admission through the State Quota counselling where whereas the Medical Counselling Committee for All India quota will conduct the of seat admission. With over 9 medical and about 4 dental colleges present in the state about 1005 medical and 363 dental seats are to be filled with the State Counselling.
Candidates must register, select their preferred colleges, and fill out multiple rounds of the counselling process before being assigned a seat based on their merit rank, category, and availability. A procedure for document verification and reporting to the designated college follows each round.

The seat matrix also indicates the seats reserved under different quotas, including state quota, management quota, and NRI quota.
Jharkhand NEET Counselling Registration Process - State Quota
Fill in the Information
- Visit the official website: https://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in/
- Enter personal details such as your Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Category, Disability status, Educational Qualification, E-mail ID, Mobile Number, Communication Address, and a Declaration.
- Review the filled details carefully, and make any necessary corrections before submitting your final data.
Upload Photograph, Signature, and Left Thumb Impression (LTI)
- Photograph:
- Upload a recent stamp-sized color photograph (not older than 6 months), preferably with a white background.
- The file should be in .JPG or .JPEG format, with a size between 20kb-50kb.
- Signature
- Sign on white paper using a Blue/Black Ink pen, scan it, and upload the image in .JPG or .JPEG format.
- The file size should be between 10kb-20kb.
- Ensure that the scanned signature matches the one on the Admit Card/Attendance sheet, as discrepancies could lead to disqualification.
- Left Thumb Impression (LTI): Upload your LTI in the same format as the photograph and signature.
Upload Additional Documents
- Depending on your category and qualifications, upload necessary documents like Category Certificates, Educational Qualification Certificates, and EWS/PH certificates.
- Combine these documents into a single PDF file with a maximum size of 500 KB.
Preview and Submit Images
- Preview the uploaded images to ensure that the photograph, signature, and LTI are clearly visible in their respective fields.
- If the images are not satisfactory, you can re-upload them.
- Make sure the correct images are in the right slots, and then proceed.
Submit the Application
- Review all the filled information before submitting the application.
- If everything is correct, tick the declaration checkbox and click the final "SUBMIT" button.
Receive Application/Registration Number
- After submission, the system will generate an Application/Registration Number.
- This number, along with the password, will be sent to your registered mobile number and email.
- Keep this information secure, as you’ll need it for future reference.
Pay the Application Fee
- A payment link will be provided on the website, directing you to the payment gateway after provisional registration.
- Pay the fee using Internet Banking, Debit Card (Visa/Master), or Credit Card (Visa/Master).
- Save or print the payment slip for future reference, as it contains essential details.
- Note that bank charges or payment gateway charges will be borne by you, and any fee deposited into the wrong account will not be the responsibility of the board.
- The application fee is non-refundable, so ensure you’re eligible before making the payment.
Verify Payment Status
- Check the payment status to ensure it is successful. If the status shows "PENDING", "FAILURE", "REJECTED", or any other issue, you must resolve it with the bank and ensure the payment reaches the board before the due date.
- If the payment is reversed or canceled by the bank, and the board does not receive it in time, your application will be rejected.
Declaration
- You must declare that all information provided is true, complete, and correct to the best of your knowledge.
- This declaration must be supported by original documents/testimonials when required.
- If any false or incorrect information is detected at any stage, your candidature will be terminated.

Counselling Process - State Quota
After the NEET 2025 results, candidates seeking admission to MBBS programs in Jharkhand must follow these steps through the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB)
- Online Application: Fill out the online application form on the JCECEB website (https://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in/).
- Eligible Candidates List & Choice Filling: After applying, a list of eligible candidates will be published. Seat allotment will be done based on merit and the choices filled by the candidates.
Counseling Rounds
- First Round:
- The first round of seat allotment is conducted online. Register according to the given schedule and fill in your choices.
- If allotted a seat, download the allotment letter from the website and complete the admission formalities, including document verification at the respective college.
- Second Round:
- The second round is also conducted online. New registration will be opened, followed by the issuance of a merit list. Afterward, choices must be filled in.
- Candidates who have already joined a seat in the first round can participate for an upgrade. The process of downloading the allotment letter and completing admission formalities is the same as in the first round.
- Mop Up Round:
- The Mop Up round also follows an online process with new registration. Candidates who haven't registered in previous rounds can do so in this round.
- The merit list will be published, and candidates can fill their choices. Seat allotment will follow, after which the allotment letter must be downloaded, and the admission process completed, including document verification.

Bond Policy
- If a candidate fails to take admission after the final counseling, they will not be eligible to appear in the NEET UG or state examination for the next academic year.
- If a candidate does not take admission after seat allotment, or if they leave the course after admission, they will be entitled to retrieve their original documents from the institute only after depositing the total scholarship and other emoluments received, along with a penalty of Rs. 20 lakhs.
