The registration process is the first and most important step in Round 3, requiring candidates to complete online registration, pay the registration fees, and upload the necessary scanned documents.  Candidates who have already completed registration and joined a seat in earlier rounds do not need to register again.

Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2025 Round 3 Registration Process

The Maharashtra State CET Cell has announced the schedule for Round 3 registration under the NEET UG 2025 counselling procedure; registration is required for candidates applying for admission to state quota seats in MBBS, BDS, and other undergraduate medical/dental courses in Maharashtra. If candidates were not registered previously or would like to apply anew in Round 3, they are required to register on the official website: www.mahacet.org.

The process of registration will secure the candidate’s information to utilize for the preparation of the provisional state merit list. This applies to Government, Corporation, Government-Aided, Unaided Private, and Minority Institutions for all seats where the competent authority is responsible for admission to the course. 

Who Needs to Register for Round 3?

  • Candidates must register for Round 3 in the following cases:
  • Candidates who did not register for Round 1.
  • Candidates who registered in Round 1 or Round 2 but did not join the allotted seat.
  • Candidates who resigned after joining a seat in Round 1 or Round 2.
  • Candidates whose admission was canceled due to discrepancies or requested documentation.

Candidates who had been previously registered may need to register and pay the applicable fee in order to participate in Round 3.

  • Visit the official portal at www.mahacet.org and click on the given link to apply online for NEET UG 2025.

2. Read Instructions Carefully   

The instruction page contains directions for completing the application (Annexure “A”). You must read these instructions before proceeding.

3. Section for filling a Candidate’s Application Information  

  • You will need to answer personal information including number and email (for OTP), educational qualifications, along with other obligatory fields. The system will check for errors in the entries.

4. Candidate’s Declaration  

The candidate must accept the declaration by confirming: 

  • The information is complete, valid, and accurate.
  • Information provided fraudulently may result in cancellation of your admission, and possible legal action.
  • The candidate will provide all the original documents for verification and at the time of admission.

5. Submission and Password Creation  

  • Once you have completed the form, you will be required to create a password for future access to login. You can also review and modify your entries before submitting your application.

6. Payment of Application Fee  

  • You will be required to pay the application fee online, for submission of your application. Keep the printed copy of the receipt, as the payment is non-refundable.

7. Document Upload  

  • Once you complete the application fee process and payment has been submitted successively, the candidate is required upload all necessary documents, including domicile, category, PwD, NRI certificates as applicable.

8. Print Application Form  

  • The candidate will need to download their application once submitted, for future reference. A physical application submission is not required to CET Cell.

Q. Who is eligible to register for Maharashtra NEET Counselling 2025 Round 3?

A. Candidates appearing for NEET-UG 2025 and those willing to register for Maharashtra state quota seats and candidates who did not register in Round 1 or Round 2 and those who resigned/cancelled admission in Round 1 or Round 2 are ALL eligible to register.

Q. Do candidates who registered in Round 1 or Round 2 need to register again for Round 3?

A. As long as candidates registered and joined a seat and do NOT intend to upgrade, then they will NOT need to registered again. However, candidates who either did not join, resigned or whose admission was cancelled would need to register again.

Q. What is the application fee for Maharashtra NEET Round 3 registration?

A. The application fee is based on seat type and courses: Rs. 1,000/- for State Quota MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BUMS courses, Rs. 5,000/- for Institute Quota seats and Rs. 6,000/- for candidates for both State and Institute Quota seats. The fee will be non-refundable and it must be paid online.

A. Candidates are required to upload scanned color copies of necessary documents; these must include the domicile, category, PwD, NRI certificates, and other relevant documents, as detailed in the information brochure. 

Q. Are candidates allowed to edit the online application once submitted?

A. The candidate may edit the application, as long as submission is not completed yet. After the application is submitted and the fee is paid, no editing will be permissible. 

Q. Is there a deadline for the completion of Round 3 registration?

A. The online registration, fee payment, and document uploading are to be done between the period of 06/10/2025 to 08/10/2025 till 11:59 am (according to the server).  

Q. Do the candidates need to submit a hard copy of the application form?

A. The candidate need not send a hard copy of the application form to the CET Cell of MAHA CET. The candidate should keep the print copy of the application.
