Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has revised the NEET UG 2026 Centralized Admission Process (CAP) Round 1 schedule for MBBS and BDS Group A courses. The revised timeline was issued after the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) extended the schedule for All India Quota counselling, resulting in changes to the previously announced Maharashtra CAP Round 1 dates.
The earlier schedule had registration from August 6 to 12, 2026, while the revised notice has extended the registration deadline to August 15, 2026. Candidates should follow the latest revised schedule for all further counselling activities.

Registration Deadline Extended
Under the earlier schedule, Maharashtra NEET UG CAP Round 1 registration was scheduled to close on August 12, 2026. As per the revised schedule, candidates can now complete their online registration and session application by August 15, 2026, up to 6:00 PM.
The deadline for payment of the registration fee has also been extended to August 15, 2026, up to 10:00 PM. Candidates must ensure that their registration is considered complete only after successful payment of the applicable fee.
Document Upload and Verification Dates Revised
The deadline for uploading coloured scanned copies of the required original documents has been extended to August 15, 2026, up to 11:59 PM.
Online document verification, which was earlier scheduled up to August 14, will now continue until August 17, 2026.
Candidates should ensure that all required documents are uploaded correctly within the revised deadline. Failure to upload the required documents may affect consideration of the candidate’s admission or claimed category.
Merit List and Seat Matrix Dates
The Registered Candidate List and Provisional Merit List will now be published on August 18, 2026. Candidates will have the opportunity to submit grievances from August 19 to 20, 2026, up to 5:00 PM.
The Final Merit List and Seat Matrix for Group A will be published on August 21, 2026.
Choice Filling and CAP Round 1 Allotment
After publication of the revised seat matrix, candidates can fill their course and college preferences from August 22 to 24, 2026, up to 5:30 PM.
The Maharashtra NEET UG CAP Round 1 is scheduled to be declared on August 25, 2026. Candidates allotted seats will then have to complete physical joining at their allotted colleges from August 26 to 30, 2026, up to 5:30 PM, along with the required original documents and fees.
Important Note for Candidates
The revised schedule is subject to change according to directions from authorities including MCC, AACCC, the Central Government, Maharashtra State Government or the Hon’ble Court. Candidates should therefore follow the latest notices issued by the Maharashtra CET Cell and avoid relying on the earlier schedule for deadlines.
For NRI candidates, the revised notice states that registration on the Foreign Candidate Registration Portal must be completed before August 14, 2026, up to 11:59 PM for verification of eligibility. The subsequent counselling schedule will remain as notified for the CAP process.
