NEET UG 2025 City Intimation Slip Released— Check Your Exam City Now

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the City Intimation Slip for NEET UG 2025 on 23 April 2025. This slip allows students to check which city their NEET exam will be conducted in. It’s not the admit card, but it plays an important role in helping students prepare for the big day. Many students travel from far-off places, and without knowing the city early, travel planning becomes difficult. That’s why this advanced information is so helpful. It gives students and their parents peace of mind, especially when exams are so close. In this blog, I’ll explain everything you need to know in simple words — how to download the slip, why it’s important, what to do if your city is far, and how to stay calm and prepared in the days ahead.

When Is the NEET UG 2025 Exam and Why This Slip Matters?

The NEET UG 2025 exam will be held on Sunday, 4 May 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, in offline (pen and paper) mode. It will be conducted across 552 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. The City Intimation Slip doesn’t tell you your exact center address — only the name of the city. But that alone is enough to begin preparing your travel plans. This is the first confirmation that your application has been accepted and processed. Once you have your city information, you can look at travel options, book transport or accommodation, and make sure nothing is left to the last minute.

How to Download NEET UG 2025 City Intimation Slip?

You can download your City Intimation Slip by visiting either https://www.nta.ac.in or https://neet.nta.nic.in. Look for the link that says “Advance Intimation for Examination City of NEET (UG) – 2025”. Click on it and log in using your application number, date of birth, and security pin (CAPTCHA). Once logged in, you’ll see the slip on your screen. Download and save it as a PDF. Make sure you keep a digital copy and take a printout. It’s better to check and download early instead of waiting till the last day when the website might be slow or overloaded.

Why Is This Slip So Important Even If It’s Not the Admit Card?

Many students think the city slip is not a big deal since it’s not the final admit card. But actually, this small step makes a big difference. It tells you exactly how far your exam location is and gives you enough time to prepare. If your exam city is different from your hometown, you can plan whether you need to travel a day before, whether you’ll stay at a hotel, or whether your parents will accompany you. For students in rural areas or small towns, this advance notice is very helpful. It avoids last-minute panic and helps you appear for the exam with a calm mind.

What if you face any issues while downloading the slip?

If you’re unable to download your city slip or if there’s any technical issue, don’t panic. NTA has provided helpline numbers: 011-40759000 and 011-69227700. You can also write an email to neetug2025@nta.ac.in explaining the problem. Common problems include login failure, captcha not loading, or downloading a blank PDF. Always check if your internet is stable, and make sure you’re entering the correct details. If the issue continues, don’t wait. Contact NTA early and explain your issue clearly, and if possible, attach a screenshot of the error.

What Comes After the City Slip? Admit Card Is the Next Big Step

After the city slip, NTA will soon release your NEET UG 2025 Admit Card — usually 3 to 5 days before the exam. The admit card will contain your exact exam center name and address, roll number, photograph, and all the exam instructions. On the day of the exam, you must carry a printed admit card, a valid ID (like Aadhar), and a passport-sized photo. Without these, you will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. The instructions are strict, so make sure to read everything printed on your admit card carefully and follow all rules.

Tips to Stay Calm and Handle the Final Days Smartly

Now that you’ve got your city slip, it’s time to shift your focus to two things — smart travel planning and calm exam revision. Download your slip early, inform your school or coaching center if you’ll be taking leave, and discuss travel plans with your parents. Try to reach your exam city a day before the exam if it’s far away. Carry all necessary documents with you. Also, avoid cramming new chapters now. Just revise what you know, and stay confident. Everyone has their own path, and just because someone else’s center is closer or they’ve finished revision doesn’t mean you should worry. Focus on your own plan.
