National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a notification to the students who are about to take National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025 directing them to update the Aadhaar details and use their Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID while registering. This proposal is to improve the effectivity and validity of the testing process by linking APAAR ID with Aadhaar-based authentication.

- Update Aadhaar Information: Ensure that your Aadhaar information, namely name and date of birth, should be same as that which is mentioned on your Class 10 marksheet or passing certificate. This alignment is important for seamless verification during registration.
- Ensure that your Aadhaar is linked to an active mobile number in order to allow OTP-based authentication throughout the application and the examination.
- Utilize APAAR ID: Incorporate APAAR ID together with Aadhaar information to simplify the application process and minimize human mistakes.

Next Steps for Candidates
- It is recommended that applicants go to their local Aadhaar Enrollment or Update Center in order to confirm that their Aadhaar credentials and facial recognition data, are correct and current. This preventive step will help to avoid a cumbersome registration and examination experience.
- The NTA will release the NEET UG 2025 registration dates at a later stage. Candidates are advised to periodically visit the official NTA website in regards to updates and instructions for registration.
