Round 2 of MCC NEET UG Counselling applies to candidates seeking admission under:

  • B.Sc. Nursing Courses

Unlike Round 1, where you are more or less dipping your toes in the water, Round 2 will require a carefully planned decision making process because the policies governing upgrading, reshuffling, and forfeiture of seats introduced in the first round, will have to be dealt with during this round.

Process of MCC Round 2 Counselling

Here’s how Round 2 of NEET UG Counselling 2025 will be:

1. Fresh Registration (Only New Candidates)

• candidates who did not register in Round 1 can register with full payment of fees 

• No Fresh Registration is required for candidates for Round 1 registered even if they were not offered a seat or did not report. 

2. Choice Filling & Locking

• All valid candidates would be required to fill new choices during Round 2 choice filling period

• Previous Round 1 Choices will not be considered.

• Candidates who do not fill new Choices will be ineligible for Round 2 allotment.

3. Seat Allotment Process

• According to NEET UG Rank, category, availability of seats and choices entered

• Result will be published in official MCC website. 

4. Result Publication

• Round 2 result will usually be published within 3-5 days after the filling the choice locking

• Candidates can download the allotment letter from MCC portal.

5. Physical Reporting

• Candidates who have been allotted a seat must report at the allotted medical/dental/nursing college (centre) by producing the original documents.

• Failure to report will result in the loss of security deposit.

6. Upgradation from Round 1

  • Candidates who have joined a Round 1 seat and chosen upgrade will have to join the newly allotted college after they are relieved from Round 1 seat.
  • No claim shall be made on the earlier (Round 1) seat after being upgraded.

Important Changes in Round 2 (NEET UG 2025)

  • No Free Exit: There is no free exit as a rule in Round 2, the same as Round 1. If you are assigned to a seat and did not have join, your security deposit is forfeited.
  • Fresh Choices Required: Fresh choices will be required, even if you did join Round 1.
  • Resignation Rule: If you accept a Round 2 seat, and resign; you will no longer be entitled to a seat and will forfeit your money.
  • New Registrations Permitted: Round 2 commences new registrations for those who did not join Round 1.

A. You can re-register in Round 2 fresh and deposit the full registration and security charges.
