

Punjab NEET UG Counselling 2025 Round 2 is a significant opportunity for medical and dental aspirants who did not secure a seat in Round 1 or who want to upgrade their alloted seat. Round 2 is conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot to facilitate admissions in MBBS and BDS courses across the government, private or minority colleges in Punjab.
According to the official schedule, Round 2 counselling has started from the date of display of tentative vacancy positions (with respect to previous round) by the BFUHS, which was on 27th August 2025, followed by fresh registration of candidates, payment of fees, submission of willingness and choice filling.
To confirm their participation in Round 2 counselling, candidates need to submit the security amount within the specified dates against the scheduled counselling. Further, there is also separate provisions under Dependent status seat (for PwD, SC, ST, OBC, Minority, Sports category seats).

Punjab NEET UG Counselling 2025 Round 2, conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, offers candidates another chance to secure admission to MBBS and BDS courses in Government, Private, and Minority institutions across Punjab. The 2nd Round of Punjab NEET Counselling provides another opportunity for candidates to secure or upgrade their seats. The following groups of candidates are eligible for participation in this round:

Candidates Not Eligible for Punjab NEET Counselling 2nd Round of Allotment
The 2nd Round of Punjab NEET Counselling 2025 may offer prospects for many candidates, but some categories of students are ineligible to take part in the allotment process. These include:
(a) Candidates have Readiness Documents:
Students who are unable to provide the documents required in respect of the eligibility criterions stated in Punjab Government notification or rules prescribed by MCC-UG in automatic ineligibility.
(b) Non Registered Candidates:
Candidates who have not registered in Raound 1 or Round 2 would also be ineligible to participate in the 2nd round counselling process.

A. Candidates can leave/resign the Round 2 allotted seat during the stipulated time, however, the security deposit will be forfeited.

A. If a candidate does not report to the college, their security deposit will be forfeited. If the candidate wants to take part in Round 3, they will have to do fresh registration and pay the security deposit again.
Q. Can I upgrade my Round 2 allotted seat during Round 3?
A. Candidates can upgrade the Round 2 allotted seat in Round 3. But when the upgraded seat is joined in Round 3, resignation/withdrawal from that seat is not possible.
Q. If I do not join the allotted or upgraded seat during Round 3, will my security deposit be forfeited?
A. In such cases the security deposit will be forfeited.
Q. When will the conversion of seats to Open Merit be carried out?
A. The conversion of NRI and reserved category seats (after exhausting all candidates in the respective categories) will be done during Round 3. This conversion happens only when eligible candidates of that category are exhausted.
Q. Do I need to register again for Round 2 if I already registered in Round 1?
A. Candidates who registered in Round 1 do not need to register again for Round 2. Only fresh candidates have to register if they have not registered earlier.
Q. Can I modify my choices during Round 2 of Punjab NEET counselling?
A. Candidates will be given the opportunity to fill and lock fresh choices in Round 2 as per the schedule released by BFUHS.
